Helen Robinson - Partner
Helen is a partner in HW Business Law based in London and assisting clients both domestically and internationally in relation to all their business requirements. .
Helen has a wide range of expertise in advising clients on legal matters in relation to their business and particularly in relation to corporate and commercial matters, M&A, and commercial property. She can advise on contracts, structures, finance, SPV transactions, M&A work, and property related matters, looking after businesses from start up, through growth, and ultimately exit or sale.
A large part of Helen’s work is internationally based and she advises clients on international projects around the world, including acquisitions and sales, re-financing portfolios, re-structuring cross-border groups, international contracts and new ventures. Helen’s international network of contacts enables her to source advice for clients from specialists around the globe.

Emily Waterhouse - Partner
Emily is a corporate/commercial lawyer with HW Business Law. She originally trained in-house with an infrastructure investment company and later moved into private practice within a boutique London firm where she focused on corporate and commercial matters.
Emily has experience advising on business structures for companies (including shareholder arrangements) and partnerships, general company and partnership matters, share and business acquisitions and disposals within the owner managed market.
She also advises on all aspects of commercial contracts including:
- consultancy agreements;
- confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements;
- joint venture agreements and other collaboration agreements;
- preliminary agreements (heads of terms for commercial transactions, letters of engagement);
- terms and conditions of supply and purchase;
- website terms and conditions relating to supply and use of the website.
Although Emily focuses on advising owner managers her previous exposure to a variety of sectors, specifically media, technology and renewable energy, means she has developed relationships with people in other industries which have broadened her scope and strengthened her ability to provide a rounded commercial service.
